‘I Was Gone’ 7″
Woods is consistently the most prolific band in existence. Something about their songs wrench my heart and mind leaving me warm and satisfied. Very much like my favourite Black Cavendish pipe tobacco. This 7″ is no exception, it could actually serve as a very proper introduction to Woods. The A side is a contemplative, provocative tape collage. The B side starts with another sub-2 minute pop gem. Woods style of course complete with psych zephyr feelings. The B-side ends with a little “drugged out tribal child” (as described by Tattoo Marty). This is another superb release from the Woods camp. Released in a ltd. edition, one time only pressing of 1,500 by the equally prolific Woodsist.

Super proud to be distroing this. Words can’t really express how much I dig this CD. It’s so damn cool. It’s got jangle, it’s got harmony, it’s got Rwandan kids singing on a track, it’s got oohs and ahhs. It makes you feel really good, which is what music is all about. Major props. Crossing my fingers for a Naomi Punk release on LNA in the future. As for now, my distro discipleship will have to suffice. Oh yeah, this is a beautiful physical disc. Great art, pretty disc a.k.a. super deluxe. (I’m pretty sure we are the only folks who have this available online).
