Born of love & an obsession with patinas of bygone eras, LNA seeks to lovingly make tangible releases for artists who have lovingly made music. We hold the larger music industry in general distaste in that they have successfully made music a commodity that is click-wheeled, ephemeral, and disposable. We can’t deny that we are in fact part of the said music industry, but we live by the mantra ‘Good Business is the Best Art’ and a sexy DIY approach is where we stand. Tapes and vinyl are our chosen avenue of release because they are among some things being eliminated in this technological age that have value and deserve preservation. On top of that, music released and recorded in an old way has a curious warm tinge that is beautiful, romantic, and above all pleasing that needs proliferation and continued support. Tapes and vinyls are experienced.Music should be an experience. With that said, LNA has no genre or medium commitments. We may drift through coastal ambiance with one tape and then onto harmony drenched pop with another. There may be zines, films, art books, limited edition screen prints, knitted goods all ’sold’ alongside our tapes//vinyls at any one point in time. As well as curated, hand-picked releases from other high calibre labels. LNA is basically just the outpouring and extension of varied and eccentric taste. All in all, we love the music we put out and we hope you will fall in love with it too. But not like the above child that is about to miserably fall on his face.
